Ancient city with million dollars view
Kourion has Roman mosaics, a gladiator house, one for the Nymphs and a big basilica. Minutes away form Limassol. And if that didn’t convince you that it’s a good place to visit, know that the Kourion city is also mentioned by Herodotus. In other words, it’s serious history here, no joking around! The route to the archaeological site is very well signposted and the entrance costs only 4.5 euros per person. If you come here in the middle of summer, don’t forget to use sunscreen, have something to wear on your head and take cold water with you.
New: Mediterranean cruise from Limassol
Starting in 2021, you can cruise the Mediterranean from Limassol, Cyprus. The Royal Caribbean International company has allocated the ship Jewel of the Sea for the port of Limassol. From here he will embark on trips of 7 nights each around the island of Aphrodite and in Greece – Athens, Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos and Santorini. The first departure is scheduled for July 10, 2021.

Lofou. The stone village with a soul
A dreamy view, stone houses, one next to another, narrow cobbled streets that take you from one hill to another, a church, two taverns, a small craft brewery, and welcoming people. This is what I found in Lofou and this village stuck to my soul more than any other I visited on the island.
As usual, I missed the “official” entrance to the village and again took the more twisted road, but the view of the sea and Limassol was worth it. But know that the first entrance to the village will take you directly to a large parking lot, which is also very close to the center of the village. Okay, not that the village is too big anyway, but it is good to know.
