Cape Greco is the place where you can enjoy beautiful waters, and interesting landscapes, and you can admire a dream sunset every night of the year.
You can relax on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island – Konnos Bay – you can have fun at the cave of Ayioi Anargyroi, explore the rocky shore, swim in isolated areas, or admire the brave ones jumping in the water at Sea Caves.
It’s impossible not to find something you like in just a few square kilometers. Plus, you will practically reach the easternmost point of the island and therefore of the European Union.

I admit that I come here in the winter because the temperatures are perfect for walking and besides, everything is green and full of flowers.
And the best days are when the Mediterranean is nervous and puts on a show with waves… it is a show not to miss. The area is vast, and I find it difficult to cover on foot on a hot summer day.
The easiest is by car to be able to move from one corner to another.
Cape Greco sunsets
From here you can see the most beautiful sunsets! The coast of Ayia Napa is spectacular from above, and the color of the sky after the sun goes down is gorgeous!
The access road is a dirt road that can be traveled on foot and by car.
If you are going, I would recommend that you arrive an hour or so before sunset because I think it’s worth walking around a bit. You will get some great photos!
Sea Caves
The next place to visit in the Cape Greco area is the Sea Caves. The access road is dirt and is signposted from the street, but can be easily missed if you are not careful.
Here again, it is a favorite area for those who want to jump into a few meters of water. Over time, there have also been unfortunate incidents in the area, both from jumping and those who chose to swim in the area.
For some time, the authorities have been saying that they will fence it so that they can’t jump… but they haven’t had the courage until now.
The access road can be a bit bumpy because it is damaged in the winter by heavy rains.

Ayioi Anargyroi Cave
On any map, you will find the chapel of Saint Anargyroi marked. You have enough room to park and visit or even swim. Next to the chapel is a small cave from where you can enter directly into the sea. If the water is agitated, however, it is impossible.
You can’t miss it because you will see the steps that lead you there. If you like cats, it doesn’t hurt to have some food for the colony from the chapel.
🚩📽 Here you have the shore of Protaras seen from the boat 👇
Love Bridge Protaras
From the chapel you can go for a walk both towards the Konnos beach and towards the end of the island.
Don’t miss Kamara tou Koraka either, which I just found out means Bridge of Crows. I still don’t know why they chose that name, and I’ve never seen crows in the area and anyway, everybody calls it Love Bridge.
It’s a spectacular natural bridge where only a few years ago it was the tradition for the bride and groom to take photos for the album, so the whole week was a pilgrimage of brides there.
Now they’ve fenced it off, so the fun is over.

Konnos Bay
It is perhaps the most spectacular beach in the area. It is sought after by everyone, so in the summer it will be quite difficult to find a parking place there.
However, it can also be reached by bus easily.
If you are in the area, you can also take a walk to the Cyclops Cave, for which you will find the necessary signs.
Places to swim and trails to follow
There is a pilgrimage to Cape Greco in the summer also with small boats. They all stop there for swimming, about half an hour.
If you get there by boat, don’t miss getting in the water because it’s great!
Also during the winter, we explored the paths at the bottom of the cliff. It is green and with flowers and I always find it fascinating, both the landscape and especially the cliff.
Usually, in the summer, tourists choose to go up the cliff for the sunset and the view of Ayia Napa.
Perfect for off-road races
Cape Greco is a nature reserve where dirt roads have been made so that you can freely ride on ATVs. All the renters will tell you, however, that you are not allowed to go off-road, but nobody listens to them.
On the main street, where the bus station is, there is usually a caravan where you can get something cold to drink and a sandwich if you’re hungry.
How to get there
Cape Greco is between Protaras and Ayia Napa. If you haven’t rented a car to go there, it’s not a problem because the buses of the public transport company – Osea – will drop you right where you need.
And don’t forget to be prepared with enough cold water and sunscreen.
The distances may not be very long for those who are used to hiking, but certainly, the temperatures that exceed 40 degrees in the sun from June to September can pose a serious problem.
