Find me Falling is a romantic comedy set in Cyprus, with both American and Cypriot actors.
For those of you who have already visited the island of Aphrodite, it will be a pleasant way to “revisit” some places. And I am sure you will also recognize the Cypriot accent.
In case you were wondering, the famous cliff from the movie is located in Akamas, the streets and the houses are in Nicosia and the beach, you will find it in Kapparis.
Who’s starring in Find me Falling
The lead actor is the American Harry Connik Jr. You might know him from the movies Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock, P.S. I love you or New in Town with Renee Zellweger.
He is also a singer and a composer.
The actress Agni Scott is born in Cyprus and she lived on the island until she was 18, then she moved to the United States for college.
Who is behind this movie
The director of the movie is Stelana Kliris, a South African Cypriot writer/director/producer. She made it posible to have this movie shot entirely in Cyprus. Also, most of the crew who worked for it is from Cyrpus, same as most of the actors.
Stelana Kliris told the story of the movie for in-cyprus.philenews.com
“The idea was born in 2015 when I came across an article about an Australian who lived on a cliff that was a suicide spot. This man was a very kind figure who would approach those standing on the edge and ask if they needed help or even invite them into his home for tea.”
“And so, gradually, the story of “Find Me Falling” was created. It’s about a rock star who, towards the end of his career, experiences a crisis of futility and decides to leave everything behind and move from America to an island he visited where he fell in love for the first time in his youth.”
You can watch the movie on Netflix.
