Is it too early to talk about Christmas Villages in Cyprus? I don’t think so, especially if you are the kind of person who likes to have a plan.
In this case, we present you the Christmas Village, 2024 edition: Agros, Deryneia, Fikardou, Kalopanagiotis, Kiti, Kyperounta, Lefkara, and Laiki Geitonia (in Nicosia).
From what I can tell, I hope I am not wrong, we have a new addition for this year, and this is Kiti, a village very close to Larnaca city.
What happens there
All the Christmas villages will have food and music. And kiosks from where you can buy Christmas presents. And for sure we will have Santa visiting all the villages and talking to the kids, no matter their age. So be sure you’re there and tell him what you want for Christmas.
If you want the mountain vibe for this holiday, then you might want to choose to go to Agros, Fikardou, Kalopanagiotis, Kyperounda or Lefkara.
If you’re on holiday on the East Coast, then you can consider visiting Deryneia and Kiti.
And for the city boys & girls, we have the one in the capital, in Nicosia – Laiki Geitonia.
The program
The Christmas Villages will be operating from November 22, 2024 until January 6, 2025 (inclusive) as follows:
📌 Saturday – Sunday and Public Holidays.
📌 From December 23, 2024 until January 6, 2025 daily.
📌 Friday 13.12.2024 & 20.12.2024
Christmas villages – Deryneia
It is the only one I went so far. Two years ago, it was lovely. Everything was concentrated in the square, lots of places from where to eat, music, kids, Santa Claus, everything there really brought the Christmas atmosphere.
Then, last year, the 2023 edition, was not the same. Maybe I went at the wrong time, or maybe there were too many vendors selling all kind of things not related to Christmas.
So, this year I will visit more villages and let you know how it is.
